To the Single Mom

Posted in Mom Life by

Being a single mom is hard, really hard. As a single mom you handle all the hardships of motherhood alone, run an entire household alone, deal with the daily struggles of life alone, and on top of all of that; if you don’t want to stay alone forever  you have to navigate messy complicated world of dating.

Life for a single mom is busy and stressful…. a full time job, endless to do lists, appointments, activities for the kids, commitments, deadlines, cleaning, cooking, bills, babysitters, trying to find time to date, maintain a social life and implement self-care. It’s overwhelming, exhausting and just too much to handle sometimes!

To the single mom who can relate, I have a few reminders for you…..

You are strong.

I am your God, I will strengthen you.

Isaiah 41:10

You are capable.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Phillipians 4:13

The Lord God goes with you, He will never leave you or forsake you.

Dueteronomy 31:6

You are valued.

We are God’s masterpiece.

Ephesians 2:10

You are loved.

Nothing can separate us from God’s love.

 Romans 8:39

You have a purpose and plan for your life.

Nothing can stop God’s plan for your life.

Isaiah 14:27

 You can rest.

Come to me all who labor are heavy burdened and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

Never forgot these things!  Life as a single mom is difficult, stressful and overwhelming but it can also be full of so much strength, joy, peace and beauty!

Write your favorite verse (or two) on a post it note and place it somewhere you will see it everyday as reminder. What’s your favorite statement above? Leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time, let’s live bright!
